Cepex, UTICA and CCIC prospect Ethiopia
A multi-sector economic mission will be organised in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia, from 7 to 14 October 2018, by the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX), the Tunisian Confederation of Trade and Handicrafts (UTICA) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Centre (CCIC), said CEPEX.
The programme of this mission, said the same source in a statement, published recently, will include an economic forum, targeted institutional meetings and networking, prospecting visits to 2 exhibitions specialising in agribusiness and building materials as well as professional meetings of B toB type with Ethiopian economic operators.
Ethiopia has experienced rapid economic growth over the past decade, with an average rate of about 10 percent per year, according to new IMF data. The 2018 forecast is for growth to continue its upward trend.
In 2018, the Ethiopian economy is expected to grow by 8.5%. The numbers show continued economic development. To boost its economy, the country is pursuing large-scale infrastructure projects, including a rail network and a large dam. Experts attest that manufacturing is a key element of the country's economic development, according to CEPEX.
