Foreign investments up 17.7% in H1 of 2018 (FIPA)
The flow of foreign investments edged up 17.7% to 1,141.9 billion Tunisian dinars at the end of June 2018 compared to the same period in 2017, according to foreign investment report during the H1 of 2018 issued by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA).
This flow is distributed in the amount of 1,072.8 billion dinars in foreign direct investments (FDI), up 16.8% compared to the previous year and 69.1MTD in portfolio investments, i.e. a 32.7% increase.
Foreign investments in the energy sector climbed by 6.3%, reaching 526MTD, in the industry sector by a whopping 21.6%, to 403MTD, in the services sector by 54.3%, to 137.8MTD and in the agriculture sector by 134.2%, reaching 5.85MTD.
